  • Default DM alerts

    • By default, all alerts go to your private chat with the bot. No configuration required.

  • Setting group alerts

    • Configure Alerts → Group Alerts

    • Pick a watchlist or “Add New Group”

    • Instructions shown:

      • Add the bot to your group (no admin rights required)

      • Reply in the bot chat with:

        • Group Chat ID (e.g., -1001234567890), or

        • @group_username

      • For groups with topics, format as ChatID/TopicID (e.g., -1001234567890/42)

      • Use @raw_data_bot to find Chat ID

    • The bot tests sending a message to the group (and deletes it). If access fails, you’ll get actionable error guidance.

  • Setting channel alerts

    • Configure Alerts → Channel Alerts

    • Pick a watchlist or “Add New Channel”

    • Instructions shown:

      • Add the bot to your channel

      • Grant Admin with “Send messages” permission

      • Reply in the bot chat with Channel ID (e.g., -1001234567890) or @channel_username

    • The bot tests sending a message. If access fails, you’ll get error guidance.

  • Removing destinations

    • Use “Remove Group” or “Remove Channel” within the corresponding alerts menu

    • Confirm removal.
